JAEL UMERAH-MAKELEMI

This is a personal project designed for me to learn more about myself and my roots whilst displaying my findings in an artistic form. African culture in particular hair and fashion is particularly present within my portfolio. I wanted to celebrate my Nigerian culture as I  am proud of who I am.

I loved this project in particular as it built up my confidence as a graphic designer. I had to become my own critique and decide on whether my pieces were successful or not. I also enjoyed experimenting with media whether it was digital media or something physical like chalk or gouache.
